Ghanaian tycoon Daniel McKorley has diversified into the airline business and will launch a private jet terminal at the Kotoka International Airport by Jan. 26, 2022.
The business will operate as McDan Commercial Private Jet Services and employ more than 400 people.
According to the information gathered by Billionaires.Africa, the new airline will initially launch with three jets and one helicopter. Talks are also under way to add several more aircraft in the coming years as it expands to air-ambulance medical and domestic tourism services.
McKorley stated that Ghana is opening to the world and executive-level travel services are needed to enhance the experience of doing business in Africa. He said: “Travelling in Africa to certain places for businessmen and business executives might be very difficult, very expensive hence, the need to open up this… When we talk about a private jet terminal, it is a fixed-based operation, this is where you can walk in as a private person and pick a flight to anywhere you want.”
McKorley is the founder and CEO of McDan Group of Companies.
