MM Group led by Egyptian businessman Khaled Mahmoud, is expanding its footprint in the commercial vehicle sector through a new partnership with Tata Motors. This marks a major step for MM Group, one of Egypt’s leading distributors of automobiles and consumer electronics, as it strengthens its position in the country’s competitive automobile market.

With this deal, MM Group will bring a range of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles to Egypt, including models such as the Tata Xenon, Ultra T.7, Ultra T.9, Prima 3328.K, Prima 4438.S, Prima 6038.S, and the LP 613 bus. Tata Motors, one of the world’s largest automakers, is known globally for producing durable vehicles suited to various transport and logistics needs.

Speaking about the partnership, Khaled Mahmoud, CEO of MM Group, said: “The introduction of Tata Motors’ world-class commercial vehicles in Egypt marks a key milestone in the country’s transport and logistics sector. With this launch, we are bringing trusted solutions catering to diverse applications and demanding conditions.”

Tata Motors echoed the importance of the move. “Egypt is a key market for us,” said Asif Shamim, Head of International Business for Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles division. “Its growing infrastructure and increasing need for dependable transport make it the right time to enter with a strong local partner like MM Group.”

MM Group is no stranger to major partnerships. Its wide-ranging operations span five divisions, automotive, consumer electronics, seamless pipes, telecom, and tractors, allowing it to serve multiple industries efficiently. The group distributes for top global brands, including Samsung, Vodafone, Huawei, Range Rover, Jaguar, Maserati, Bentley, Carrier, and Bosch.

Mahmoud leads MM Group’s growth push

Khaled Mahmoud, who owns just over 10 percent of the company, an equity stake valued at over $10 million, has played a central role in MM Group’s expansion. Under his leadership, the company has built one of Egypt’s most extensive distribution networks, reaching over 40,000 points of sale through both wholesale and retail channels.

Beyond just selling vehicles, MM Group plans to offer customers more value through this partnership with Tata Motors. Buyers of the Xenon and Ultra models will benefit from extended warranties, scheduled maintenance packages, and affordable spare parts, support services aimed at building long-term customer trust and satisfaction.
