African Rainbow Minerals Limited , the mining group controlled by South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe, said Wednesday it received a final dividend of R1.5 billion ($88 million) from joint-venture partner Assmang (Pty) Ltd for the year ended June 30.

The company issued the update in a short notice to shareholders, providing no further detail on operating performance. Assmang, a producer of iron ore, manganese and alloys, has faced shifting global demand and ongoing logistics constraints in South Africa, though analysts say its portfolio remains resilient.

The dividend gives an early indication of cash flow conditions ahead of ARM’s next trading update. The miner is expected to release fuller financial guidance early in 2026.

ARM and Assmang jointly operate several major mining assets and have been partners for decades. The dividend forms part of the regular flow of distributions between the companies and remains a key contributor to ARM’s earnings profile.
