NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer Mele Kyari said Nigeria state oil company posted an after tax profit of 5.760 trillion naira in 2025, equivalent to about 4.26 billion dollars, as crude and condensate production averaged 1.62 million barrels per day.
The results, released Wednesday, show total revenue of 60.517 trillion naira for the year. Statutory payments to government agencies and partners amounted to 14.706 trillion naira.
The company did not provide comparative figures from the previous year.
Crude output eased slightly in December, the final month of the reporting period, as scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages affected volumes. Oil and condensate production averaged 1.54 million barrels per day in December.
Revenue for December alone reached 4.824 trillion naira, according to the figures released by the company.
Natural gas supply in December averaged more than 6.914 billion standard cubic feet per day, reflecting continued demand for domestic and industrial consumption.
NNPC said downstream performance strengthened toward the end of the year. Nigerian Refining Limited stations recorded 65 percent availability of premium motor spirit in December, an improvement compared with earlier periods.
Upstream infrastructure performance also remained steady, with pipeline systems reporting full availability during the month.
The company pointed to progress on key gas infrastructure projects as part of its broader strategy to expand domestic supply and support industrial growth. Mainline welding on the Ajaokuta Kaduna Kano pipeline was completed in December, marking a significant milestone for the project. Pilot hole drilling also advanced on the Obiafu Obrikom gas pipeline.
The figures come as Nigeria continues efforts to stabilise production in Africa largest oil producing nation, where output has faced periodic disruptions linked to maintenance, infrastructure constraints and operational challenges.
NNPC said the numbers remain provisional and subject to final reconciliation with stakeholders.
