Dangote Salt has rewarded 50 of its top distributors with trucks and cash prizes, turning its annual customer event into a clear show of appreciation for the partners who move its products across the country.
The awards were presented at NASCON Allied Industries’ 2025 Customers Dinner and Awards Night in Abuja. The event drew senior executives from the Dangote Group, including Aliko Dangote and Vice President Olakunle Alake.
NASCON, best known for its refined salt and Dangote Classic Seasonings, said the trucks and cash gifts, worth billions of naira, were given to customers who demonstrated strong volume growth, market expansion and long-standing loyalty.
Dangote told attendees that recognising customers is not just ceremonial. It is central to how the group does business.
"Recognising customers is not just good relationship management. It is good business," he said. According to him, the company's future investments in supply chain efficiency, digital tools, sustainability and brand building only create value when they align with customer realities.
He also commended the board, management and staff of NASCON, saying their operational discipline and consistency have helped maintain the company’s market position in a competitive consumer goods sector.
Board Chairman Olakunle Alake also reminded attendees that while NASCON answers to shareholders and regulators, its real test happens in the marketplace, where customers decide which brands win.
"Market confidence is rooted in market performance, and market performance depends on customers who believe in our brands," he said. He described customer service as a strategic asset rather than a slogan.
Fatima Aliko Dangote, recently appointed Group Executive Director at Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals, thanked distributors for their continued trust in the brand. She said their growth is directly linked to the company’s own success.
"Each of you has demonstrated outstanding commitment to our brands," she said, adding that sustained loyalty and execution in the field have been critical to expansion.
Mariya Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director for Commercial Operations in Cement and Foods, said her recent transition into overseeing the foods business reinforced one clear reality. The company’s performance is built in the market, alongside distributors who push products daily.
Managing Director of NASCON, Aderemi Saka, said the purpose of the awards was simple: to celebrate customers and acknowledge that the company’s success is closely tied to their prosperity.
Ali Balarabe, speaking on behalf of the awardees, received a 20 ton truck and cash credit. He thanked the company for the recognition and pledged continued loyalty. Other recipients included Alhaji Ibrahim Achida, Muabsa Integrated Services, Fanisau Enterprises, Idris Saleh Nigeria Limited, Sani Adamu Trader and GIA Global Concept.
The evening was less about speeches and more about reinforcement. In a market where distribution strength determines visibility and volume, Dangote Salt chose to reward the partners who keep its brands moving.
