Allen Onyema has moved to strengthen Air Peace global footprint after signing a multi year distribution agreement with Travelport, giving Nigeria largest airline access to thousands of travel agencies across 180 countries.

The agreement, announced March 1, 2026, connects Air Peace inventory to Travelport Plus, a global travel retailing platform used by agencies worldwide. The move allows travel agents in cities such as Nairobi, London and New York to book Air Peace flights with real time access to fares and ancillary services.

Under the deal, Air Peace domestic, regional and international routes will be fully integrated into Travelport marketplace. Agents will also gain visibility into services such as seat selection and additional baggage, which historically have been difficult for some African carriers to distribute outside their home markets.

The Kenya Association of Travel Agents welcomed the agreement, describing it as a step toward improving cross continental connectivity. In the past, Kenyan brokers had trouble booking West African routes since they had to use several systems to fulfill a single itinerary.

The integration now makes it easy to book flights from East Africa to West Africa and then on to Air Peace long-haul destinations including London, Mumbai, and Guangzhou.

The Travelport alliance takes that goal to the digital market, making sure that airline products are seen all around the world.

The deal also fits in with bigger changes in African aviation, such the Single African Air Transport Market plan, which aims to make it easier for people to travel within Africa.

Travelport Plus features AI tools that help agencies find the best ticket options for travelers based on their needs. This makes it more likely that Air Peace will get business and leisure tourists who desire flexible prices and packages of services.

Better distribution implies that Air Peace can reach more clients outside of the country. This means that the company doesn't have to rely as much on developments in the domestic market. This is true even though there are still problems, such as increases in fuel prices and currency limits.

The partnership is a big step forward for Onyema airline, which is no longer just the greatest airline in its area but also a better player in the global aviation retail ecosystem.
