A South African heiress who paid $8 million for the former home of Coca-Cola Amatil boss Dean Wills is now aiming to sell the property for about $20 million after a renovation campaign that has reshaped one of Belrose’s most recognizable estates.
The seller, Luciana Ravazzotti Langenhoven, and her husband, Pierre Langenhoven, bought the property in 2020 from Wills and his late wife, artist Margaret Wills, in a deal that set a suburb record at the time.
The listing comes after years of work on a home that was already large by North Shore standards. The estate includes six bedrooms and resort style features such as a swimming pool, tennis court, an art studio and a showroom like garage designed to hold about a dozen cars, according to details circulating with the sale campaign.
People familiar with the marketing say the price expectations reflect both the scale of the upgrades and the sharp repricing that has taken place at the top end of Sydney’s housing market. The campaign has been framed as a search for a buyer willing to pay for a turnkey trophy home in an area better known for family houses than prestige estates.
Ravazzotti Langenhoven is the daughter of Italtile founder Giovanni Ravazzotti, a businessman once ranked by Forbes among South Africa’s wealthiest individuals, and her purchase of the Belrose estate in 2020 drew attention as a significant step up from the couple’s earlier Sydney home.
The property’s previous owners also carried name recognition. Dean Wills led Coca Cola Amatil for years and was a prominent corporate figure in Australia, while Margaret Wills was known for her work as an artist, adding a layer of history to a home that has now changed hands and identity.
The sale effort is being watched locally as a test of demand for fully renovated, high end homes in suburbs outside the traditional prestige belt. A successful result near the $20 million mark would stand as one of Belrose’s biggest transactions and a reminder of how quickly high end real estate bets can compound when location, timing and a deep renovation budget line up.
