Kanye West's Tampa comeback drew over 1 million ticket queue entries as Bully tour demand defies European bans

More than 1 million people entered the virtual queue for tickets to Kanye West's upcoming concert at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on June 26, a demand figure that overwhelmed standard ticketing systems and confirmed what the rapper's Los Angeles numbers had already suggested: whatever is happening to his reputation in Europe, American audiences are still showing up.

The Tampa show is West's first concert in Florida in nearly a decade. His last appearance in the city was during the Saint Pablo Tour in September 2016. The June 26 date was announced through his tour registration page, which encouraged fans to sign up early for access while offering a small number of free tickets to lucky pre-registrants. When presale tickets went live on Ticketmaster on May 26, the queue volume quickly exceeded what the system had prepared for.

The Tampa show follows three sold-out nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earlier in 2026, during which West performed material from his album Bully alongside career-spanning tracks. Those shows generated approximately $33 million in revenue and featured guest appearances from Lauryn Hill, Travis Scott and CeeLo Green. West's daughter North also performed tracks from Bully at the LA dates, drawing significant media attention.

The US commercial picture stands in sharp contrast to what is happening elsewhere on his touring schedule. The UK government blocked West from entering the country, cancelling his Wireless Festival performance. Poland's Stadion Śląski cancelled his planned June 19 concert after the country's culture minister called his appearance unacceptable. France is examining legal measures to prevent a planned Marseille performance. India cancelled a New Delhi show over terrorism concerns in May. An upcoming India concert had also been cancelled before that.

The pattern has made the United States the primary commercial territory for the YE Tour 2026, and the demand data from Tampa suggests that territory is performing strongly despite years of commercial and reputational setbacks. West lost his Adidas partnership in 2022 following a series of antisemitic statements and posts featuring Nazi imagery. He subsequently issued a public apology. His billionaire status, built largely through the Yeezy partnership with Adidas, was stripped from Forbes and Bloomberg wealth rankings after the brand relationship collapsed.

Raymond James Stadium has a capacity of approximately 65,000 for concert configurations. At that scale, the Tampa date represents a significant commercial recovery for a performer who spent the better part of two years shut out of major platforms and brand relationships. The 1 million queue entries suggest demand running at roughly 15 times available supply.
