American media billionaire Tyler Perry has put his Beverly Hills estate, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stayed after leaving Britain in 2020, on the market for $57 million, as he prepares to leave the US mainland for Puerto Rico.

Perry has also listed his property in Jackson, Wyoming, for $39.5 million, bringing the combined asking price for the two homes to $96.5 million, The Wall Street Journal reported. The Beverly Hills price makes the 22.5-acre estate one of the most expensive listings in the city.

Perry declined to comment. "He's spending less and less time" in California, said Santiago Arana of The Agency, the brokerage marketing the Beverly Hills property.

The estate sits in the guard-gated Beverly Ridge Estates community. Perry lent it to Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their son Archie when the couple stepped back from royal duties and moved to California in 2020. Perry also arranged extra security after photographers found the family there. He later became godfather to their daughter, Lilibet.

At the time, the eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom house was widely reported to be worth about $18 million. The asking price is more than three times that figure.

The listings follow Perry's announcement this month that he will move to Puerto Rico with his 11-year-old son, Aman, at the start of 2027 and sharply reduce his workload.

"It's time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in," Perry, 57, said on NBC's "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle" on Sept. 14.

Puerto Rico offers large tax breaks to new residents under its Act 60 incentive program. Perry has framed the move around family and age, not taxes.

The listings do not touch the core of Perry's fortune. He owns his library of films, television series and stage plays outright, and his Tyler Perry Studios sits on 330 acres of a former military base in southwest Atlanta that he bought in 2015 for $30 million. He has not said whether the move will change operations at the studio.

His wider property portfolio includes a large estate outside Atlanta and a private island in the Bahamas.
