Swazi billionaire Natie Kirsh has experienced a significant net worth increase of $210 million over the past 18 days. This surge solidifies his position as Eswatini’s wealthiest individual and strengthens his standing among Africa’s richest.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Kirsh’s net worth has increased by $210 million, rising from $8.02 billion on April 17 to $8.23 billion. This translates to an impressive average daily gain of $11.6 million.
The primary driver behind this growth is the exceptional performance of Jetro Holdings, a New York-based consumer goods holding company in which Kirsh holds a 75-percent stake. Jetro Holdings oversees two prominent U.S. wholesale grocery businesses: Jetro Cash & Carry and Restaurant Depot.
Kirsh’s Jetro Holdings boosts net worth
Kirsh currently ranks 313th on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. A substantial portion of his wealth stems from private investments. His conglomerate, the Kirsh Group, holds a majority stake in Jetro Holdings, currently valued at an estimated $2.05 billion.
Bloomberg’s figures indicate that Kirsh’s 75-percent stake in Jetro Holdings has risen to $5.66 billion, up from $5.50 billion on April 17. This $160-million increase accounts for over two-thirds (66.2 percent) of his recent net worth surge.
Kirsh’s Abacus stake soars high
Additionally, Kirsh holds a significant 54 percent stake in Abacus Property Group, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) headquartered in Sydney. The value of this holding has risen slightly from $342 million to $349 million over the past 18 days.
Kirsh’s property portfolio also boasts significant assets like Tower 42, London’s leading office skyscraper (valued at $364 million in 2024), and Jandakot Airport in Perth, Australia. These holdings exemplify his diversified investment strategy and continued financial growth.
Kirsh’s recent wealth surge underscores his enduring presence as a prominent figure in the global business landscape. He remains one of Africa’s most affluent and influential entrepreneurs.
