Nigerian billionaire Theophilus Danjuma has launched TY Logistics Park FZE, a new logistics hub in Lagos designed to cut supply chain delays and improve the movement of goods across West Africa.
The facility, developed through Danjuma’s TY Holdings, is located in Alaro City within the Lekki Free Zone, close to the Lekki Deep Seaport. Officials say the park is built to international grade-A warehouse standards and is positioned as a regional hub for manufacturers, importers and exporters.
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented at the inauguration, said the project fits into the state’s plan to turn the Lekki corridor into a major industrial and logistics cluster. He praised Danjuma for committing long-term capital to physical infrastructure rather than pursuing short-term gains.
The park offers large-format warehousing, racking systems, temperature-controlled storage and value-added services such as packaging and light assembly. It targets businesses in fast-moving consumer goods, electronics, auto parts, fashion and pharmaceuticals that rely on reliable and time-sensitive delivery.
Officials of TY Logistics said the complex will operate as a one-stop platform, providing contract logistics, inventory management, importer-of-record services, customs support and regional distribution from a single site. The aim, they said, is to reduce the number of intermediaries and time lost between the port, warehouse and final customer.
Theo Danjuma Jr., chairman of TY Logistics Park, said the facility was designed to “redefine how goods move across Nigeria and West Africa,” adding that companies lose significant value every year to congestion, poor storage and lack of visibility on cargo.
He said the park is supported by a warehouse management system that allows clients to monitor stock levels, orders and truck movements in real time, helping them cut stockouts and better manage working capital.
Sanwo-Olu said the hub would create direct and indirect jobs and strengthen Lagos’ role as a gateway for regional trade. He called on other investors to follow Danjuma’s example by backing logistics, manufacturing and other critical sectors.
For Danjuma, the launch adds a new chapter to his business portfolio, which already spans oil and gas, shipping and philanthropy. TY Logistics Park is expected to begin full commercial operations as client onboarding and systems testing are completed.
