Tetracore Energy Group, through its subsidiary Tetracore Power Company Limited, is pleased to announce the successful generation of its first power from Phase I of its 100MW Atakobo Independent Power Generation & Distribution System (Atakobo IPP) on April 20, 2026.

This milestone marks the transition of the Atakobo IPP Plant from development into active generation and commercial operations, underscoring Tetracore Energy’s execution capability across the gas-to-power value chain.

The Company also confirms the execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with offtakers, with power delivery already established. This actualizes a live commercial framework for sustained energy supply and revenue generation marking the transition from project development to active generation, distribution, and commercial operations.

The Atakobo IPP is a cornerstone asset within Tetracore Energy Group’s integrated energy infrastructure model, designed to deliver scalable energy solutions that support industrial growth, enhance energy reliability, and strengthen Nigeria’s domestic energy security.

Phase I of the project delivers 20MW of power, with a clear expansion pathway to 100MW. Supporting this capacity is a robust distribution backbone of approximately 80 kilometres of 33kV lines, enabling efficient power evacuation and delivery across key industrial corridors within the Ijebu Ode–Ijebu-Itele axis in Ogun State.

Commenting on the development, Olakunle Williams, President/CEO of Tetracore Energy Group, stated: “The commencement of generation at Atakobo IPP is a direct contribution to strengthening Nigeria’s energy security and industrial backbone. Reliable power remains one of the most critical enablers of economic productivity, and through projects like Atakobo, we are demonstrating how integrated, gas-powered solutions can sustainably close that gap at scale.”

With operations now underway, the Company is focused on ramping up capacity utilization, onboarding additional industrial offtakers, and accelerating the expansion of the Atakobo Energy Park as a hub for integrated gas and power solutions.

Tetracore Energy Group is an integrated energy company delivering end-to-end gas-powered solutions across generation, distribution, and energy trading. The Company is committed to building scalable infrastructure that drives industrialization, enhances energy access, and supports sustainable economic development across Nigeria and West Africa.
