Aston Villa, chaired by Egypt's richest man Nassef Sawiris, has agreed a record $157 million sale of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea.
Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have made almost all of Aston Villa's academy players available for sale to comply with new spending rules.
Nassef Sawiris bought Aston Villa for £30 million in 2018 when the club was near collapse. Seven years later it has a European trophy and a valuation above £1 billion.
Sawiris is one of Europe’s wealthiest football club owners.
