Ye, the American rapper and designer formerly known as Kanye West, will perform at Mexico City's Estadio Azteca on March 19, 2027, adding one of the world's best-known football stadiums to a run of large venue shows that has helped rebuild his income.
The concert was announced on Nov. 3 through Ye's official stadium-tour account and by promoter Five One Five Entertainment. It is his only date in Mexico so far. Ticket prices, presale dates and the general on-sale date have not been released, and fans can pre-register for early access on the concert's website.
The stadium, now called Estadio Banorte under a naming-rights deal, reopened this year after renovations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is the largest stadium in Mexico and has hosted concerts by Michael Jackson, who played five shows there in 1993, as well as U2, Paul McCartney, Bad Bunny and Shakira.
Return to Mexico
The show will be Ye's second visit to Mexico City in just over a year. In January he played two concerts at the Plaza de Toros México, the city's main bullring, on Jan. 30 and 31, his first performances in the country in more than 17 years. The first night sold out in less than 12 hours, and organizers said the two shows would draw more than 74,000 people combined. His daughter North West joined him on stage.
The rapper has spent 2026 playing stadiums in the U.S. and abroad. He headlined a Halloween concert in Houston on Oct. 31 and is due to perform at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, on Nov. 7, his first show at the venue.
Large concerts have become a main source of income for Ye since Adidas AG ended its Yeezy sneaker partnership with him in October 2022 over antisemitic remarks he made. The deal had accounted for most of his wealth, and its end cost him his place among the world's billionaires.
Ye, 49, rose to fame as a producer for Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records before releasing his debut album, "The College Dropout," in 2004. He has won 24 Grammy Awards and still owns Yeezy, which now sells clothing and footwear directly to customers.
